Here is my story about a journey to achieve weight loss goals and a healthy lifestyle less than 1 year after having a baby. I’ve come a long way from where I began. I think back to where I was 5 years ago, the struggle with my food addiction that led me to an unhealthy, unhappy lifestyle. Now, with the choice I made to become healthy, I have no regrets! I woke up early every morning for 90+ days to eat my oatmeal with cinnamon and have my 4 egg whites… Having my 12 raw almonds for my snacks and chicken or fish for lunch, with my healthy carb (brown rice or sweet potato), more almonds a few hours later and then dinner (chicken, fish, bison or lean turkey). My late night snack with my Herbalife Formula 1 and PDM. Drinking a minimum of a gallon of water a day, 1 hour of cardio workout daily and then strength training and toning. I have done so many squats, sit-ups, crunches and fire hydrants that it just became routine. Morning squats before showering, afternoon lunges to the bathroom and sit-ups while playing with my 6 month old. Before I started on this journey, I was always tired and without energy. A month into the routine my energy came roaring back. I was bouncing around the house, trying to get a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. Walking everywhere, to the park, the store and around the block 4 times a day. All while working in my nutrition club and juggling my 2 kids between school and activities. And then the results started to come… 2lbs, 5lbs, 10lbs, 20lbs, 40lbs and a total weight loss of 55 LBS! re to edit. Finally the day came where at then at the age of 41, with a 6 month old baby and an 11 year old, I competed in my first bikini competition the past weekend and won 3rd place. Was it on of the most challenging thing I had ever done? Heck YES! Did I want to give up? Heck YES, but I did not. I couldn’t, I made my decision with no regrets! Thank you to my inspiring coaches and mentors, Brian & Cari Treat and everyone who pushed me, motivated me and BELIEVED in me, (yes, I am tearing up right now) I lost 55lbs, 4 sizes and my body fat went from 30% to 15%.
If you are where I was and want to be where I am, just know that this road will lead to a happy healthier you. There is hope and it’s about the decisions you make while on your journey. Message me if you want help on your personal quest to be healthy! [email protected]

I have always looked up to you since day 1 (March 28, 2008 to be exact)! First as a team leader, then a friend, boss and now a health coach. You've always been so positive and upbeat no matter what obstacles you were going through and I've watched you closely to better myself. I still live by WWKD (what would Karen do) and by following your guidance and positivity I am now happy with my life and the healthy lifestyle I live. Yes, I am tearing up also! When you first told me that you were going to compete there was no doubt in my mind you would kick butt. And you did! You looked so beautiful up on that stage I can not express how happy I am for you and to be able to call you my coach/mentor. Thank you for everything you've done for me and for other people that admire your hard work and dedication. Giving up was something I lived by but now with your encouragement and personal results it's no longer in my vocabulary. I'm so glad to be a part of your team.
